Acura TL / Type-S Android Auto & CarPlay Navigation Upgrade
Confirm the exact Acura TL generation and dashboard before ordering this Android Auto and CarPlay kit. The earlier combined “2008–2012 Type S” label is not a verified compatibility range. It adds wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, GPS navigation, Bluetooth music and calling, WiFi, USB multimedia playback, steering wheel control support and backup camera input while keeping an OEM-style dashboard appearance.
Choose this product if you want a clean factory-style Acura TL Type S radio upgrade with modern smartphone connection, navigation and multimedia features. Please compare your original dashboard and factory radio layout with the product photos before ordering.
Wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto support
Built-in GPS navigation with online and offline map app support
Bluetooth music streaming and hands-free calling
OEM-style dashboard upgrade for a clean factory-look installation
Steering wheel control support for compatible vehicles
Backup camera input support
WiFi, USB multimedia playback and Google Play app support
Confirm Vehicle Generation and Fitment
Do not treat Type-S as a trim covering every year from 2008 to 2012. Confirm the exact model and year from your vehicle documents, then send photos of the original screen, radio and climate controls. Factory audio, navigation and trim affect the required frame and harness. See the linked guide for the generation distinction before ordering.
OEM-Style Dashboard Upgrade
The Acura TL Type S Android navigation system is built to fit the dashboard in a factory-style layout. It is a good choice for customers who want CarPlay, Android Auto, navigation, Bluetooth and camera support without changing the dashboard into a large vertical-screen style.
OEM Function Retention
The system supports common factory functions such as steering wheel controls and factory audio integration. Final behavior can vary by original trim, factory amplifier, factory navigation configuration and selected product options.
Installation Notes
Professional installation is recommended.
Test screen, audio, Bluetooth, CarPlay, Android Auto, GPS, camera and steering wheel controls before fully reinstalling the dashboard trim.
Some vehicles may require extra wiring or configuration for factory amplifier, camera or steering wheel control functions.
If your Acura TL Type S has a special factory system, contact us before ordering.
